Mike Harvkey is the author of the novel, In the Course of Human Events (Soft Skull Press, 2014), a "pick of the week" by Los Angeles Magazine, The Millions, and Publishers Weekly.
Recently Mike handled research and reporting for the New York Times #1 bestelling true crime book, All-American Murder (Little, Brown, 2018), by James Patterson & Alex Abramovich, about convicted killer and New England Patriot Aaron Hernandez.
Mike has written for Esquire, Poets & Writers, Salon, The Believer, Alaska Quarterly Review, Mississippi Review, Nylon, Trunk, Fiction Writers Review, Publishers Weekly, and several other publications. He is the recipient of fellowships from the MacDowell Colony and Columbia University, and winner of the Zoetrope All-Story Magazine short fiction award. Mike currently teaches in the Creative Writing at Columbia University and is currently at work on his second novel.
